Jun 21, 2022Brantford police are investigating an armed robbery of a retail business and are seeking information from the public to help identify suspects. A firearm was used by suspects during the robbery.
On Monday, June 20, 2022, at approximately 5:20 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call reporting an armed robbery at a retail location within the Lynden Park Mall located at Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Lynden Road.
Officers attended and investigation revealed three male suspects entered the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded merchandise from the store employees. The men were wearing gloves and their faces were concealed.
The suspects obtained a quantity of cell phones and fled the scene in a silver Dodge Ram pick-up truck, heading westbound on Highway 403. 
No physical injuries were sustained during the incident.

  • male, black, late teens or early 20’s, approx. 5’8”, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jogging pants, black ball cap, and black cloth covering face.

  • male, black, late teens or early 20’s, approx. 5’8, thin build, wearing blue jeans, white shoes, black beanie, black hooded sweatshirt, and black cloth covering face.

BPS continue suspicious fire investigations, seek suspect information

Apr 29, 2022The Brantford Police Service are continuing to investigate a number of suspicious fires, dating back to January 2022 and are seeking additional suspect information from the public.

Police are asking any members of the public who reside close to the location of any of the incidents, and who have not already done so, to review any video surveillance footage which may have captured the suspects responsible for these fires.

Police have reason to believe the fires were deliberately set and have been working to identify suspects seen in the area. All of the fires were quickly controlled and resulted in minor property damage. No physical injuries occurred as a result of the fires.

Police are asking homeowners and business owners in these areas to review their video surveillance equipment for the following dates and locations for any video that may assist in these investigations.

On Saturday, April 9, 2022, an unknown female entered a motor vehicle at 117 Market Street and stole two debit cards, $120 in cash, and a religious book.  Police are looking for any assistance in Identifying the female.

BPS seek suspect information in stabbing

Investigators with the Branford Police Service are investigating a stabbing and seek suspect information from the public.
On Monday, April 11, 2022, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a residence located near Colborne Street and Peel Street after receiving a report of a stabbing. 
Officers attended and located a male victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds.  
The victim was transported to hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are looking for two male suspects, who were reported to have been wearing all black clothing and masks covering their faces. The suspects fled the scene on foot. A detailed description of the suspects is not available at this time. 
Officers have reason to believe this may be a targeted attack and do not feel this incident poses a threat to public safety.
Police are currently seeking any information that may lead to identifying the suspects.

Investigators with the Branford Police Service are investigating a stabbing and seek suspect information from the public.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to the area of Grey Street and Market Street after receiving a report of an assault. 
Officers attended and located a male victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds.  
The victim was transported to hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are looking for three male suspects, who were reported to have fled the scene on foot, travelling southbound on George Street. A description of the suspects is not available at this time. 


Police are currently seeking any information that may lead to identifying the suspects responsible for this assault.

Brantford police seek to identify suspect wanted in two early morning robberies

Mar 15, 2022Brantford police are seeking information from the public to help identify the suspect involved in two separate early morning robberies of retail businesses. A knife was used by the suspects in both robberies.

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to the area of Erie Avenue and Gladstone Avenue for a robbery at a convenience store.  Information was received to indicate a lone male suspect entered the business, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from the store employee. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes and fled the scene on foot.
No physical injuries were sustained by the victim during the incident. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:Male, Caucasian, slim build, approximately 6’0″, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey/white camouflage cargo pants, black boots, black gloves, black ski mask with only eyes showing.

A lone male suspect entered the business, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from the store employee. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes and fled the store on foot.
No physical injuries were sustained by the victim during the incident.
