Brantford Police Service Investigate Identity Theft

Brantford police are continuing to investigate an identity theft and seek information from the public in an effort to identify suspects.
On December 9, 2022, the Brantford Police Service initiated a fraud investigation after receiving a report from a local financial institution to advise an unknown individual had impersonated a customer to make fraudulent cash withdrawals. 
Utilizing false identification in the victim’s name, over $43,000 was withdrawn from the victim’s account over a period of four days. 
Still images of the suspects have been obtained and are being released in hopes that the public may have information that could lead investigators to identify these individuals.

The Brantford Police Service continue to actively investigate a credit card fraud and are seeing information from the public to identify a person and vehicle of interest as shown in the above photos.

On November 21, 2022, investigators with the Brantford Police Service initiated an investigation into a stolen credit card which had been used fraudulently. The card was used at retail locations in Hamilton, Toronto, and Port Huron.

Anyone who may have information which would assist investigators to identify this individual is asked to contact Detective Constable Jeremy Morton of the Brantford Police Service at 519-756-7050 ext. 2869.

The male in the picture below walked out of Canadian Tire with a Bicycle worth over $500.00 . The bicycle was described as a 21 Speed “Raleigh Hulk” dual suspension Mountain bike.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance to identify this suspect.
