On Monday, July 26, 2021 at approximately 4:44pm, Brantford Police were dispatched to the area of Copernicus Boulevard and Tamara Place in the city regarding a stolen pick-up truck and trailer. A lawn service company was performing lawn maintenance for a Copernicus Boulevard company and had parked the truck and trailer in the area. A diesel pick-up truck was observed casually pulling up to the front of the lawn maintenance vehicle. Unfortunately, the keys had been left in the vehicle. The crew continued their work and several minutes later, observed that both their vehicle and the diesel pick-up truck were gone.

Video surveillance was obtained from a neighbouring business. It revealed that the diesel pick-up suspect vehicle, believed to be a silver Ford F-250 or F-350 dual axel, had a person dressed in black exit, walk over and enter the victim’s vehicle and drive away from the area. Both vehicles were last seen eastbound on Copernicus Boulevard approaching Dalkeith Drive.

The stolen vehicle was a 2004 Ford F-250 pick-up truck, red in colour, bearing Ontario Marker AM 80074. Attached was a 16 foot Action Aluminum Tandem Trailer, bearing Ontario Marker M8763V. The value of the trailer is approximately $5,000. The trailer contained the following:
